Life is Beautiful: A fund raising show for acid victims

.
Art & Culture Report:
Country’s leading footwear production house, Galerie Apex arranged a gala fashion night at the Grand Ballroom of Radisson Blu Water Garden Hotel in the capital recently.
In the show, renowned Indian fashion designer Agnimitra Paul’s designed clothes were displayed on the ramp those were wore by the Bangladeshi leading models and celebrities along with Indian popular actresses. Those displayed dressed were sold in an auction to raise fund for the rehabilitation of the acid victims in the country.
The fashion show had a very interesting structure that portrayed Agnimitra Paul’s perception of various times of day and night. Each time of day and night has a different mood to it and hence different sorts of colours and attires come into play. The fashion show started off with the moods of dawn. Through the eyes of Agnimitra, dawn is green, yellow and orange.
The models mostly showcased traditional wear worn in contemporary fashion like saris, salwar suits and lehengas. The men with the women wore panjabis and sherwanis.
Then, Agnimitra chose red to portray the mood of a sunny afternoon. The ramp thus sizzled with red, perhaps signifying the heat of the sun. Yellow and violet are the colours Agnimitra sees in the dusk.
The fashion show portraying attires of the night were simply gorgeous. The models were shining with the exquisite jewellery of Jarwa House and the shoes were from Galerie Apex.
From Bangladesh celebrities like popular TV actresses and models Tisha, Nawsheen, Bindu, Momo, Mim and Nobel walked down the ramp whereas from the Indian counterpart Rituparna Sengupta, Paoli Dam and Locket Chatterjee took part in this connection. n
