Boishakhi Utsab celebrated at DIIT

Art & Culture Report : Country’s renowned educational institutions Daffodil Institute of IT (DIIT) celebrated Bengali New Year 1418 and Boishakhi Utsab with great enthusiasm through colourful day-long events and cultural programmes at its campus premises. The day long programme included a colourful rally, cock fight, Kanamachi and Bounch games, folk music, dance, exhibition of traditional products, clothes, foods, cultural programme, poetry recitation, band music and prize giving ceremony. Mohammad Nuruzzaman, Executive Director of DIIT inaugurated the day-long programme at 11:ooam. The students dressed in different colourful dress gathered in the campus and brought out a colourful rally that moved the main streets of the capital and finally gathered in the campus. The function was attended by Deputy Director Khaled Sohel, Rathindra Nath Das, teachers, high officials and a large number of students of DIIT. A festive mood prevailed all over the campus.
