Handicrafts exhibition at Drik Gallery

To create a new dimension and to promote handicrafts industry in the country, a three-day handicrafts exhibition organised by Colour House (CH), an event management house, was held at Drik Gallery in the city’s Dhanmondi area from February 21 to 23.
A total of 10 handicraft organisations participated in the exhibition.
Chairman of Colour House, Iram Khan told this correspondent, “The theme of this exhibition is to promote our local handicrafts to the every level of the population and to support the people who are involved with this sort of handy works.”
“This one was our first step to colour our local handicrafts dream, only local products where displayed here where Source Craft, Idea Craft, Banaj Handicraft, Environment Care International, Dhew, Ananda Bashanta, Tulimati, Handiz Hut, Orchid Boutique and Prokritojon made participation in the exhibition,” she said.
A certificate giving ceremony was also arranged in the concluding day of the exhibition where Chairman of Bangladesh Mahila Shangstha Kanij Fatema Ahmed (Cox's Bazar). n
