Concept of fire fighting robot

Three Bangladeshi youths were praised in an international conference, Japan for preparing a new concept on use of fire fighting robots.
The conference was held from 19th to 21st January and the trio presented their concept paper through a 'Poster Presentation'.
The paper that was presented in the conference  titled 'A Design of a Cost Effective Fire Fighting Robot and Using Intelligent System'.
The three Bangladeshi youths are Shuddhu, Shuvo and Ishtiaq.
Shuddhu and Shuvo are from American International University of Bangladesh (AIUB) and Ishtiaq is from Islamic University of Technology (IUT).
The severe conflagration in Nimtoli, old Dhaka in 2010 motivated those youths to work robots, which could fight against conflagration. This conflagration touched them deeply. Then they have started study on it. They have taken help from their seniors, departmental teachers and other friends. Then they communicated to the 'Fire Service department'. They discussed with them about their limitations. They came to know that the members of fire service wearing their breathing suit could stay only for 10 minutes in the smoke. Then they have to come out. They cannot rescue properly for smoke. Then they got the idea of fire fighting robot that could overcome the problem. This yellow dressed robot will enter into the area of conflagration and perform their job completely like controlling fire, and rescue life and property. It will overcome the limitations of human being.
How the robot will work. Firstly they will search the source of fire into the conflagration zone. The robots will have a sensor, which could recognize the temperature of conflagration place and smoke. The robots will have 'obstacle detector' which will remove all the barriers to reach to the source of fire. Then it will throw sand and water to reduce the terrific fire. There will be a battery low sensor, which will give, alert before finishing of charge. There will also a camera, which will supply video to the computer monitor. Then taking necessary initiatives could be easier. The entire job would be done by microcontroller operation. To make the robot they will use Alluminium because it is cheap and elastic.
The prime objective of the concept was to develop a system against all types of conflagration that will be flawless and dynamic as well as cost effective.
Many teachers and students from different universities around the world like University of California, Waseda University and Kyushu University of Japan, Baihan University, China attended the conference.
Hope the orange dressed fire-fighting robot will be our friend one day.
