SUST sculpture of liberation war “Chetona’71”

Liberation war is the combination  of Bangali language, literature and culture; lifelong  it will inspire all peoples of the  world to being conscious, creative and responsive  in achieving their rights and sovereignty . To remembering the great heroes of liberation war'1971 Bangli people has made  sculpture, memorial and Shahid Minar in different regions mainly in the  educational institutions.  They express their great  tribute, love  and  honor formally and informally  by giving  flower wreaths and arrangement of cultural programmes in the in the National and International day including International Mother  Language Day( 21st February), Independence Day(26th March), Victory day(16th December).
 The 1st ever sculpture  of liberation war "Chetona'71" in Sylhet division is build by the arrangement of SUST students; which is located on the north eastern site of "A" building. Photo:NN.
 This type of sculpture of liberation war  in Sylhet division is the  "Chetona 71" which  is build in the  ShahJalal University of Science and Technology(SUST) campus on the long days demand  of general students, social and cultural personalities.
As a chief guest V. C Prof. Dr. Md. Saleh Uddin  has inaugurated it   in the 30th July 2011. It is learnt from a reliable source that, SUST students of 2005-2006th batch planting up a temporary sculpture "Chetona-71"on 26th March in 2009. Later it became the 1st sculpture of liberation war in Sylhet division.
It  is build on the North-Western site of "A" building. The designer of "Chetona-71"is nree school of sculpture, Narayongonj, Dhaka. In this design model "National flag" on the hand of student and "Book "on the hand of female student are the symbol of Bangladeshi constitution.
