"Rule of law and democracy would be established in the country, if the laws are abided by. The government is working to establish rule of law," he was speaking as the chief guest at a reunion of former students of Ideal Commerce College in the city. Presided over by Ideal Commerce College governing body Chairman Dr MA Halim Patwari, the function was also addressed by Asaduzzan Khan (Kamal), Prof Mahfuza Khanam, Ideal Commerce College Principal Anowara Aktar, Lion M Nazrul Islam and Prof Shah Muhammad Farhad, among others.
