Probe body gets 5 more days

The probe body, formed for investigating the incident of arresting minister Suranjit's APS with Tk 70 lakh, has been given five more days to submit the report.
Communications and Railway Minister Obaidul Quader extended the time for the sake of fair investigation Saturday.  
The communications and railway ministry sources said Obaidul Quader also expressed his resentment as the probe body failed to submit the probe reports within 15 days.
Expressing his resentment, he extended the time for report submission, adding that time would not be extended further. 
On April 10, Former Railways Minister Suranjit Sengupta formed a two-member probe body, one to investigate the involvement of Mridha and another to investigate Faruq's link with the incident. The body was asked to submit the report within 15 days after investigation.
The members of the committee are Railway Director General Abu Taher and Joint Secretary Shashi Bhusan Singh.
Regarding the matter, the Railway Director General told banglanews, "Suranjit Sengupta's APS Omar Faruq Talukder, Railway GM Yusuf Ali Mridha and Divisional Commandant Enamul Huq will be asked to appear before the probe bodies within a couple of days."
On April 9, Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) detained the three when a car carrying them entered the BGB Headquarters at about 11:30pm.
