6 of a family killed in fire

Six members of a family were burned to death as a fire broke out in a house at Pukuria in Bhanga upazila early Saturday. The deceased were-Abdur Rashid,75, Shaheen, 16, Fiha, 3, Sumon, 10, Tahura, 12, and two and a half year old girl Taru.
Bhanga police station officer-in-charge Md Dadan Fakir said the fire broke out in Jafar Bhuiyan's house at about 12:30 am when all the inmates were asleep.
All the inmates were burnt alive as they could not come out from the burning house, he said.
He said the fire might have originated from the kitchen of the house.  Two goats and a cow were also burnt alive as the devastating fire spread to the cow-shed.
