Bagerhat BNP office attacked, 40 injured

About 40 opposition activists were injured as local BNP party office came under attack allegedly by ruling party men in the town on Saturday.
About 50 motorcycles and other goods of the district BNP party office were also damaged during the attack at Muniganj at about 5:30pm.
District BNP president MA Salam said Awami
League activists from their procession swooped on BNP party office where 300/400 opposition activists were staying after attending a programme in support of Sunday's hartal.
District unit AL president Dr. Mozammel Hossain, however, denied the allegation of attack, saying that 8/10 AL activists were injured in brickbat attack by BNP activists while a procession of ruling party was passing by the BNP party office. Police said they brought the situation under control by firing 20 blank shots and teargas shell.
