One killed in road mishap

A man was killed in a head-on collision between a stone laden pick-up and a CNG-run auto rickshaw near Mugnama Bazar under Pekua upazila on Saturday night last.
The deceased was identified as Md Shahidul Karim,  son of late Abul Kashem of Majhirpara area under the district.Local and police ources said A CNG-run auto rickshaw collided head-on with a pickup-van on Baniarchhara-Mugnama road, leaving two passengers of the auto rickshaw critically injured."
Later, the injured were rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where Shahidul died while undergoing treatment early yesterday, CMCH Police camp constable Sirajul Islam confirmed to this reporter.
