Fake doctors have allegedly been providing medical treatment in different private clinics and hospitals in the capital for a long time.
About 100 fake doctors have already been arrested from different parts of the country including the city, RAB sources said.
According to the Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council, Act-2010, no doctor can practice without obtaining registration from the concerned authorities and none of them is allowed to use title 'doctor' before their name.
If any one uses the degree violating the rule, he/she will be punished under law.

Dr. Jahedul Huq Boshunia, Registrar of Bangladesh Medical and Dental Council said a team is working to hold the fake doctors and about 58,000 doctors identities will be given in the website very soon.
On condition of anonymity a RAB official told The New Nation that if doctors use their registration number in their sign board, visiting card and prescription, the fake doctors would not be able to do their illegal practice.
