NUB arranges reunion for post-graduates

Reunion of Northern University Bangladesh Alumni (Post Graduate) BCS officers arranged a reunion with great enthusiasm. Deptartment of Marketing Development, Promotion and Branding (MPB) of Northern University organized it at BCS Administration Academy auditorium, Shahbag last week. A discussion, fabulous cultural event, gift distribution and dinner were arranged on the occasion. Mr. Shafique Alam Mehdi, Director General of BCS Administration Academy was the Chief Guest and Prof. Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah, Cahirman, Northern University Bangladesh Trust was the special guest in the program. Prof. Dr. M. Shamsul Haque, Vice-Chancellor of Northern University Bangladesh chaired the program.
Chief Guest Mr. Shafique Alam Mehdi said that Education is a continoues process and it's need a quality institution. Mentioning that, Northern University Bangladesh is one of the Institutions of Bangladesh, which is providing quality education, he called upon NUB to provide present quality education to fulfill the necessity of our country.
Special guest Prof. Dr. Abu Yousuf Md. Abdullah said that, Civil Servants are a very vital part of any state and a modern state mechanism. Civil servants are the seams, which keeps the system together. The efficiency and flexibility of the state engine is directly dependent on performance of civil servants. As a keen reader of governance theories I have seen how important it is for any governance system that the civil servants carry on their responsibilities.
He said, the world is a global village and entrepreneurs are vital fact of any country to gear up the economy and to create place of work. In this aspect, the responsibilities of Bureaucracy are huge. So he called upon the civil servants to support all entrepreneurs of Bangladesh. Special guest added, though our civil servants are the most powerful and meritorious but they have been trapped under colonial mindset and It is unfortunate that bureaucratic red tape and corruption are the vital black issues of our civil servants. So he called upon the NUB Alumni BSC officers to break this view and to build up our country with their efficiency, merit and knowledge.
Prof. Dr. M. Shamsul Haque said that, NUB is providing quality education from very beginning and called upon the alumni to act as an ambassador of the university.
The program ended with a fabulous cultural event, distribution of gift items and sumptuous dinner.
