Alim indicted for war crimes

. UNB, Dhaka
The International Crimes Tribunal-2 on Monday indicted former BNP MP Abdul Alim for his alleged crimes  against humanity during the Liberation War in 1971.
Passing the order, the three-member tribunal, led by its chairman Justice ATM Fazle Kabir, also set July 9 to start the formal trial against him with the opening statement by the prosecution.
Before framing charges, the tribunal asked Alim in the dock whether he pleaded guilty or not. In reply to the tribunal, Alim, now on bail, pleaded not guilty.
