JCD hall body formed, 7 day ultimatum for coexistence

Jatiyatabadi Chhatra Dal (JCD), a Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) backed students body of Jahangirnagar University (JU) unit formed its hall convening committee on Thursday evening after over one year gap of forming its executive body.
The central representatives of JCD declared the 18-member committee of Banghabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman Hall, 11-member's body of Mir Mosaraff Hossain Hall while Shaheed Rafiq-Jabber Hall, AFM Kamal Uddin Hall, Shaheed Salam Barkat Hall, Mowlana Bhasani Hall and Al-Beruni Hall contains 20, 7, 17, 9 and 14 member's body respectively. In the meantime, they issued a 7-day ultimatum to the University's authorities to ensure peaceful coexistence in the campus with other political parties.
They declared the committees in a 'Worker Conference' organized by JU JCD unit at a restaurant in Savar near the campus. Vice-Secretary of JCD central committee Monirul Islam Royel addressed the function as chief guest while Vice Organizational Secretary Nazmul Hasan Avi, Vice Office Secretary Ziaul Haque, member Robiul Islam Robi and JU unit Secretary Abu Sayeed Bhuiya addressed the function among others. JU unit President Zakirul Islam presided over the function.
Zakirul Islam termed that, Students will act together against the irregularities of incumbent government and university authorities have to act liberally.
JU BCL President Rashedul Islam Safin told this correspondent, we belief in democracy so coexistence is their right but if they try to create any kinds of anarchy that's would be protested strongly.
On the other hand, Organizational Secretary Abdullah Al Mamun and Joint Secretary Shohel Rana rejected the committee saying that, any decision from outside the campus would not be endured. Mentionable, Central committee declared the JCD JU unit executive committee selecting Zakirul Islam as President and Abu Sayeed Bhuiya as Secretary on April 21, 2011.
Avoiding violence or unruly situation in the campus authorities has deployed additional law enforcers in the strategic point.
