BNP blames govt for unrest in RMG sector

BNP senior leaders on Wednesday blamed the government for unrest in RMG sector with an ulterior motive to destroy this booming industry forever.
People enjoying the support of the government as some from the neighbouring are involved in formatting unrest in the RMG sector, its alleged while addressing different human chains in front of the National Press Club.  
Addressing a human chain, BNP standing committee member Nazrul Islam Khan said workers could not vandalise their own institutions. The government-supported men are involved with the unrest, he added.
Jatiyatabadi Krishak Dal organised the human chain programme demanding increasing subsidy in the agro-products in the proposed budget. BNP chaiperson's adviser Shamsuzzaman Khan Dudu and the party vice chairman Begum Selima Rahman addressed the programme, among others. 
Expressing grave concern over the future of the RMG sector, Nazrul said the government seemed to be reluctant to find out reasons behind the unrest in the RMG sector because of its own involvement in it.   
Referring to the price hike of fertilisers, he said it will have negative impacts on the agriculture sector as well as the farmers. He urged the government to reduce the price of fertilizers. Otherwise, the farmers of the country may wage a strong resistance against the government, he cautioned.
